Katarzyna is the theatre pedagogue, accessibility coordinator and trainer, audio describer for theatre and dance, and director. She works at the Helena Modrzejewska National Stary Theatre in Kraków. She creates creative programmes and leads workshops for children, young people, seniors, as well as people with disabilities and d/Deaf communities.
She is the author of three social innovations in the field of theatre and dance: “Senses in Motion. A choreography model for blind people”, “Open Stage. Self-advocates in theatre (a model of accessible theatre education)”, “Theatre: A Laboratory of the Senses.”. She directed the multisensory performance “My First Space Odyssey” for children aged 0–24 months, as well as “It Begins with Tenderness” – a performance in the dark, featuring integrated audio description and a cast of blind and sighted actors. Her interests lie in sensory-based design.
