Description
This is the first time little Oskar has been apart from his parents for so long. The friendly home of Grandma suddenly feels strange, and everything around him fills him with fear and reluctance. How will the boy cope with missing his Mom, Dad, or even his own room? What will he discover to be fun, and what will he take away from this new situation? How is it possible that in a story about separation and independence, Broom, Chair, Jug, Watering Can, or Fortunelamp turn out to be significant ?
“Oskar and the Things” – a performance based on Andrus Kivirähk’s novel of the same title – is a journey into the world of unrestrained childhood imagination, where ordinary everyday objects become the starting point for engaging play and for easing small-yet-big worries. It is also a warm story about emotions, family, and the uniqueness of intergenerational relationships.
Based on the book Oskar and the Things (orig. Oskar ja asjad) by Andrus Kivirähk.
