We strive to create events where everyone can find something that reflects the truth about their own inner world, regardless of their age.

Dorota Kowalkowska

Artistic Director

Curator, theater educationalist, playwright, and author of critical essays on theater, as well as a co-creator of performances for youth. Since December 2021, she has been the Artistic Director of the International Festival of Theater for Children and Youth Korczak Today. She is a board member of the Polish Centre of ASSITEJ. Since September 2022, she has served as the Program Director’s Representative at the Gustaw Holoubek Dramatic Theater in Warsaw and co-curator of the Warsaw Theater Meetings. From 2020 to 2022, she led the literary department at the National Theater. From 2013 to 2020, she was the literary director and later a theater educationalist at the Jerzy Szaniawski Dramatic Theater in Wałbrzych. She is the laureate of the first Halina Machulska Award for “her consistent work in building a diverse theater community that includes the creative presence of audiences and for effectively promoting theater pedagogy.”

Inna Siemicz

Organizational Director

Graduate of Jagiellonian University. A cultural manager and project coordinator, involved in both cultural and non-cultural projects. From 2012 to 2013, she worked as a projectionist and events coordinator at the Kika cinema café in Krakow. From 2014 to 2016, she served as a Cultural Events Specialist at Teatr Studio in Warsaw, responsible for coordinating and producing events as part of the “Plac Defilad” city project. Between 2018 and 2021, she worked with the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, promoting Polish culture in Eastern Partnership countries. Since 2020, she has been the Organizational Director of the Korczak Festival. Since December 2023, she has also worked as an Expert at the Foreign Trade Office of PAIH in Kyiv.

Dominika Górecka

Curator of Focus: Sweden

Translator of Swedish literature, theater educationalist, and curator of the Swedish program at Korczak Today. She translates contemporary Swedish drama, prose, and poetry into Polish, including works by Sara Stridsberg, Ia Genberg, Johannes Anyuru, and Jonas Hassen Khemiri. Academically, she focuses on Swedish contemporary theater and drama, and is preparing a doctoral dissertation on Swedish theater for young audiences. She teaches Swedish literature and translation at the Institute of Applied Linguistics at the University of Warsaw and leads literary and theater workshops in collaboration with theaters, publishers, and cultural institutions.

Adam Biernacki

Secretary of the Festival Office

Director (Academy of Theater Arts in Warsaw), cultural studies specialist (University of Silesia), and educationalist. He is the President of ASSITEJ Poland and Director of the Halina and Jan Machulski Acting School. He has directed numerous theater productions, particularly for children and youth, and leads educational workshops for all age groups. He is also responsible for the proper management of production, administration, and finance within the NGO sector. He has coordinated both international and national projects involving public tasks. Last but not least, he is the composer of the Katowice city bugle call.



Miłosz Konieczny

Production Manager

Graduate of the State Theater School in Krakow, Puppetry Department in Wrocław. Grant holder of the Minister of Culture’s scholarship in 2019. He made his debut at the Opole Puppet and Actor Theater while still in school. Winner of the 2013 President of Opole Award for a promising young actor. In the 2018/2019 academic year, he taught form theater at the Halina and Jan Machulski Acting School. He studied film directing at the Warsaw Film School. Since 2019, he has been the President of the Analog Foundation, supporting culture, and is a co-creator of the socially engaged ANALOG COLLECTIVE.



Majka Duczyńska

Head of Media Relations

She grew up in a small village reminiscent of the one in Astrid Lindgren’s The Children of Noisy Village, spending time with her grandparents watching TV theater shows. She has worked in media and currently helps institutions and event organizers reach their audiences. She helps people discover and enjoy theater. Bartosz Friese

Head of Communication and Promotion

Graduate of the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School in Katowice and postgraduate studies at Adam Mickiewicz University in audience development. He is professionally connected to the cultural sector, coordinating international projects for Warsaw’s Bureau of Culture such as ADESTE and CONNECTING AUDIENCES, which bring together cultural institutions in the field of audience development. He has worked with Warsaw theaters in the field of promotion and has been involved in the promotion of Polish cinema at the Polish Film Institute. Currently, he works in the distribution and promotion of short and feature films at Munk Studio.

Katarzyna Tarłowska

Head of Marketing and Sales

Graduate of Polish Philology at the University of Warsaw with a specialization in Cultural Animation. She has been involved in various areas of culture throughout her career. A specialist in marketing and sales for cultural events, she has worked with cultural institutions such as theaters, museums, theater festivals, cinemas, and music agencies. She is the creator and producer of the music series “Syrena Music.” Passionate about digital marketing and online sales, in which she is continually developing. She holds a postgraduate degree in Internet Marketing from Kozminski University. Since 2016, she has been the Head of Sales at Teatr Studio.

Olga Zawada

Social Media Specialist

A communication specialist, she has been building communication strategies online for almost 10 years, with a particular focus on social media. She is professionally connected to the world of contemporary art. Privately, she loves traveling, food, and animals.

Katarzyna Łuka

Promotion Specialist and Volunteer Coordinator

User Experience Designer, specializing in applying Design Thinking methods to structure projects and organizational workflows, and designing educational tools. A graduate of the Faculty of Graphic Arts and Media Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, she also studied at École Supérieure d’Art et de Design in Orléans. She has lectured on UX design for students at SWPS University and taught Polish as a foreign language to migrants at the Ocalenie Foundation. At Korczak Today, she coordinates volunteers and communication structures.



Małgorzata Dziurzyńska

School and Group Collaboration Specialist

Professional educationalist. She has been professionally connected to theater for many years, most recently with the Lalka Theater, where she was responsible for audience development and marketing for children. Theater is both her work and passion. At the same time, she works as an addiction therapist, writing and implementing health prevention programs for children, youth, and parents.
